EZ Beef Distillers is a feedlot supplement designed for producers who want to feed coproducts such as distillers dried grains in self feeders. EZ Beef Distillers lets producers take advantage of coproduct feeds which can often be an economical advantage.

To use the EZ Beef Feedlot Supplements you simply need to mix it with medium rolled, dry shelled corn and distillers. There is only one mix so no ration changes are needed throughout feeding period. Minimal roughage can be used in well managed situations.

Cattle Intakes
When self feeding, a common concern is that animals will not consume appropriate amounts of feed day to day. This can lead to digestive upsets and decreased performance. The EZ Beef Feedlot Supplements are a unique blend of ingredients designed to help cattle maintain adequate day to day intakes which can reduce problems for the producer. EZ Beef Distillers also contains a buffer to help protect against digestive upsets.
 
Distillers
Distillers dried grains (DDGS) are a coproduct of the ethanol industry. DDGS contain approximately 30% crude protein, are high in fat and phosphorus, but low in starch. Distillers can be used to replace part of the corn in the diet.

Nutrition
To ensure proper performance EZ Beef Distillers contains supplemental calcium. This is needed to offset high phosphorus levels and low calcium levels found in corn coproduct feeds. The supplement calcium can also help to reduce instances of urinary calculi (water belly). Supplemental trace minerals are also included to promote growth rate and feed intake.

Supplemental Thiamine
Consumption of high levels of corn co-products has been linked to polio. The accepted treatment for polio is intravenous infusion of thiamine. Although no guarantee is implied, daily feeding of supplemental thiamine is thought to be indicated.

Feeding Directions:

Thoroughly mix 100 pounds of EZ Beef Distillers with 500 pounds of distillers and 1400 pounds of dry medium rolled corn. Corn should be medium rolled to ensure proper mixing. Animals not currently on a high grain ration need to be switched to this mix over a period of 2 to 4 weeks.

Offer this mix, along with forage to feedlot animals. Minimal roughage can be provided, but research has shown that providing roughage in self fed situations produces better results. This mix should be offered to animals weighing over 350 pounds.

EZ Beef Distillers can be used in calves weighing between 250 and 350 pounds. For calves of this weight, mix 100 pounds of EZ Beef Distillers with 700 pounds of distillers and 1200 pounds of medium rolled corn.
WARNING: This product, which contains added copper, must not be fed to sheep or related species that have a low tolerance level to copper.
