Forage Booster 18%, Forage Extender 14% and Forage Replacer 10% are formulated for use in drought or other situations when forage is of poor quality and/or in short supply. Forage Booster 18% can be used to boost the protein and energy intake to brood cows or back grounding calves on low quality forage. Forage Extender 14% can be used to extend the supply of forage available to brood cows. Forage Replacer 10% is designed to be fed to brood cows to replace forage. These products are not vitamin and trace mineral fortified, and are meant to be fed along with a standard supplementation program.
Forage Booster 18%
Forage Booster 18% is formulated to boost the energy and protein available to brood cows or backgrounding calves. Brood cows are commonly fed 0.5% to 1.0% of their body weight per day. Weaned or stocker calves will usually be fed 1.0% to 1.5% of their body weight per day. Forage Booster 18% is formulated with extra energy to support backgrounding calf growth.
Forage Extender 14%
Forage Extender 14% is formulated to be fed at 1.0% to 1.5% of body weight to brood cows to extend forage supplies.
Forage Replacer 10%
Forage Replacer 10% is formulated to be fed to brood cows at 1.5% to 2.0% of body weight to replace forage. It is recommended to feed at least 2 pounds per day of long stem forage in addition to Forage Replacer 10%.
Use Additional Supplementation
Forage Booster 18%, Forage Extender 14% and Forage Replacer 10% are not fortified with vitamins and trace minerals. Please use these products in conjunction with a standard supplement such as STOCKMASTER® Mineral or CRYSTALYX®.
Pelleted
These products are pelleted to help reduce waste. High quality pellets provide an optimal mix of energy and protein in each bite.
Choice of Additives
Proper use of additives can improve animal performance; refer to the product tag for specific claims. Forage Booster 18%, Forage Extender 14% and Forage Replacer 10% are available with approved feed additives.

These products are not fully fortified with vitamins and trace minerals. A STOCKMASTER loose mineral or CRYSTALYX barrel should be provided to supply the necessary vitamins and minerals.
Forage Booster 18%:
Feed at the rate of 0.5% to 1.0% of body weight to gestating and lactating beef cows to supplement forage intake. Feed at the rate of 1.0% to 1.5% of body weight to weaned calves to supplement forage intake. Feed with free choice forage, clean fresh water and the proper STOCKMASTER or CRYSTALYX product.
Forage Extender 14%
Feed at the rate of 1.0% to 1.5% of body weight to gestating and lactating beef cows to extend forage supplies. Feed with free choice forage, clean fresh water and the proper STOCKMASTER or CRYSTALYX product.
Forage Replacer 10%:
Feed at the rate of 1.5% to 2.0% of body weight to gestating and lactating beef cows to replace forage. Feed with at least 2 lb. of forage, clean fresh water and the proper STOCKMASTER or CRYSTALYX product.
