SUPER KRUNCH

SUPER KRUNCH is a palatable, high protein (22%), texturized calf starter feed composed of a pelleted supplement, processed grains, roasted soybeans, and liquid molasses. The high protein level (22%) encourages growth, complementing our Mother’s Pride Milk Replacer as part of our accelerated calf program. The moist texture offers better palatability to encourage early consumption.

About the Product

Palatable Textured Blend
The product blend results in a moist, coarse textured feed which encourages early consumption by the calf, resulting in more economical gains. The texture also provides “scratch,” which helps initiate rumen development.

Fortification
SUPER KRUNCH contains 22% protein, and is fortified with a balance of minerals, B-vitamins and vitamins A, D and E. They promote good growth and performance.

Milk Replacer
Mother’s Pride Milk Replacer is a premium all milk protein 28% protein, 16% fat product to be fed along with the SUPER KRUNCH in the accelerated calf growth program.

Roasted Soybeans
SUPER KRUNCH contains roasted soybeans to provide additional bypass protein and energy in support of accelerated growth.

Starter Feeding Tips

  • Begin feeding as soon as four days of age.
  • Keep starter fresh by feeding small amounts.
  • Calves need encouragement to begin eating starter. Place starter in the calf’s shallow bucket or on its muzzle just as it finishes milk replacer.
  • Providing fresh, clean water encourages calves to eat more starter.
  • Avoid feeding hay prior to weaning.
  • Fermented feeds and pasture should not be fed before three months of age.
  • Feed milk replacer at suggested rate to encourage dry feed consumption.
