ThermoCAD Heat Stress Pack

ThermoCAD Heat Stress Pack is for use in lactating dairy cows and beef feedlot cattle during warm weather conditions associated with heat stress. ThermoCad is a unique blend of minerals, vitamins, electrolytes, and feed additives designed to help maintain dry matter intake and replenish key nutrients vital to successful heat stress abatement.

About the Product

Why Use ThermoCAD?
Heat stress in cattle is one of the biggest culprits of lost profits. Heat stress reduces feed intake, production, health and reproduction. Decreased performance is a result of the cattle’s inability to dissipate enough of its own body heat during periods of high environmental temperature and humidity. In addition, the cattle are prone to losing valuable electrolytes, mineral and buffering agents during hot weather due to increased sweating and respiration. The combination of decreased feed intake and increased nutrient losses by cattle requires additional supplementation of key nutrients to compensate for these losses.

ThermoCAD supplies a source of electrolytes, mineral and buffering agents to help restore electrolyte imbalances associated with heat stress.

In addition, ThermoCAD provides ingredients that have been demonstrated to help cattle dissipate heat and lower body temperature during periods of heat stress.

Key Ingredients

Tasco®A natural feed ingredient harvested from kelp. Tasco® has shown to lower core body temperatures during heat stress, thereby improving performance.

B-Vitamins: Play an important role in cellular metabolism. In times of low energy balance they are necessary for meeting the animal’s nutritional needs. Niacin and thiamine have been shown to play a role as vasodilators which assist cattle in dissipating core body heat.

Betaine: An all-natural plant product that helps stabilize cellular activity during time of heat stress or dehydration. Betaine has also been shown to be an effective methyl donor sparing methionine and promoting butter fat synthesis.

Electrolytes and Minerals: Contains potassium, sodium, and buffering agents to replenish minerals lost through sweating in addition to increasing cation-anion balance, a key component to helping maintain intake and performance through periods of heat stress.

Sugars: A palatable source of carbohydrates to encourage feed intake and aid in electrolyte absorption.

Direct Fed Microbials: A probiotic bacteria is included to aid nutrient absorption, suppress athogenic bacteria and produce digestive enzymes. Primary site of action is the small intestine.

Gladiator Yeast Culture Concentrate: Contains Palatability Factors (Nucleotides, Aromatic Esters, Alcohols) which lead to increased dry matter intake and Nutritional Metabolites (Amino Acids, Peptides, Sugars, Organic Acids) which lead to improved fiber digestion and rumen fermentation.
