Tradition® Chinchilla Pellets and Tradition® Guinea Pig Pellets are formulated with quality ingredients, including high quality alfalfa meal to help provide optimal nutrition for all life stages.
 
Tradition® Chinchilla Pellets have been tested and adjusted over the years to get just the right blend of protein, fat and other nutrients for good fur quality and optimal growth.
 
Tradition® Guinea Pig Pellets are not a modified rabbit feed but are designed specifically for guinea pigs. A source of “protected” vitamin C is used to assure maximum utilization in the animal.

Feeding Directions

Tradition® Chinchilla Pellets
Offer Tradition® Chinchilla Pellets continuously as the sole ration for all stages of the chinchilla’s life. Hay may be offered but is not necessary.

Tradition® Guinea Pig Pellets
Offer Tradition® Guinea Pig Pellets continuously as the sole ration for all stages of the guinea pig’s life. Hay may be offered but is not necessary.


Feeding Tips

  • Provide plenty of fresh, clean water at all times.
  • Never feed any feedstuffs that are moldy, musty or suspect in any way.
  • Tradition® Chinchilla Pellets and Tradition® Guinea Pig Pellets are complete feeds. Additional hay or other feedstuffs are not required and may dilute the nutrient levels resulting in depressed performance.
  • Animals should be changed slowly from one feed program to another over a 5 to 7 day period. The new feed should be mixed with the old feed to allow the animal to adjust smoothly to the new feed.
  • Pay close attention to the teeth of chinchillas and guinea pigs as they continue to grow longer. A chewing block may be needed to help them from getting too long.
 
Tradition® Chinchilla Pellets and Tradition® Guinea Pig Pellets are formulated specifically for chinchillas and guinea pigs and should not be fed to other species.
