Beef Nutritionist

Dr. Gaspers received his B.S. degree in animal science with an emphasis in beef production from the University of Minnesota. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from North Dakota State University with an emphasis in ruminant nutrition and immunology. While completing his graduate degrees, James was employed as a research technician and served as an advisor for the NDSU Beef Unit. James now works with the Beef Technical Services Team at Hubbard Feeds covering Minnesota and Wisconsin.

James focuses on cattle nutrition for both commercial and registered beef producers covering all aspects of the beef industry from cow/calf production to growing/finishing feedlots. His interests include providing complete nutritional and health management strategies to help producers reach their desired production goals.  

James was raised in south-east Minnesota on a cow/calf operation and has been involved with the cattle industry all his life. He still helps around the farm and manages the cow herd. In his free time, he enjoys talking cattle, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
