Tyler attended South Dakota State University, achieving a B.S. in Animal Science and M.S. in Ruminant Nutrition while coaching the University Livestock Judging and Animal Evaluation teams.  After holding a position with the South Dakota Extension Service, he started his career with Hubbard as an Account Manager in eastern South Dakota, and now works with our Beef Technical Services team covering an area from western Minnesota to eastern Montana.

His interests and experience in the beef cattle business cover a wide range of production settings and management scenarios.  Tyler has worked with cow/calf operations on nutrition and reproductive management issues, with feedlot producers on nutrition and marketing programs, and has a particular interest in the nutrition, promotion, and marketing of seedstock.  His objective is to help producers hit their targets for marketing through advanced planning, and by building a nutritional program based on their marketing scheme and window.

Tyler grew up showing Shorthorn cattle and now operates a registered ChiAngus herd with his family.  His experience with his own herd helps him relate to challenges faced by customers and find solutions that fit the environment and the resources available in the northern plains.
